If you want to be successful in life, you have to have a “why.” Maybe you’ve never heard of that before, because I hadn’t before getting involved with Beachbody. Your “why” is what keeps you going, why you want to succeed, what lights your fire, what keeps you moving forward. It’s important to have something that motivates you to be the best person you can be.
It can be a little strange thinking about your “why,” so I’ll share my story with you. I wasn’t into fitness at all. I thought it was weird to WANT to workout! Then I found Turbo Kick, which is my soulmate workout. It showed me that working out can be fun. Finding that program also led me to be more confident, gave me more energy, and I was just feeling better. So that led me to have a better mindset and better eating habits because I wanted to keep feeling this way. I felt GOOD. I was energized and ready to go. I had started on a personal development journey without really realizing what I was doing. The Beachbody community was a great thing for me to discover. It provided great help and support and I found friends that were into the same things I was into. They understood and they got why I liked what I liked. I was accepted and encouraged and motivated and inspired.
My “why” is to help people live a fun, fulfilling, fit life. I know how good it can feel. It’s incredible to wake up and know that I’m doing the best I can. I’ve found a peaceful and healthy balance where I enjoy things in life, but I’m also working every day to improve myself. The reason I’ve taken this entrepreneurial journey is for my future family. I know I’ve got some time before that happens, but when I think of my future life and what I want it to be, my definition of success is being able to choose how I spend my day. I want my day to be at home with my kids… I want to be able to meet them as they step off the school bus. Now, everyone will have a different “why” and there is nothing wrong with your personal choices. But I was fortunate to have parents with flexible work schedules and I want that for my family. I want to be able to send my kids to college and I want to continue being a Beachbody coach so I can be the best wife and mother possible.
Your “why” should make you emotional. It’s not easy sharing your motivations, because it’s very personal, and you might tear up. I know I do every time I think about my “why!” Beachbody is a format and a platform that’s going to allow me to be the best person I can be so I can be the best mother and wife. I have no idea what my future holds, but I know that I’ll be creating my family and a platform for my life based off of something solid and successful that allows me to help others.
Think about your “why.” Write it down, talk about it, make a video! Then make sure you always keep it in the back of your mind to motivate you to be the best person you can be.
